HEARSE Signs With DENTAL RECORDS; New Album Due In October
September 5, 2006Swedish "death 'n' roll" band HEARSE, featuring former ARCH ENEMY singer Johan Liiva and ex-FURBOWL drummer Max Thornell, has inked a new deal with Dental Records. The group's fourth album, "In These Veins", was recorded and mixed by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH) and is tentatively scheduled for release in October.
Commented the band: "This is definitely the best-sounding HEARSE album so far. Dan had pretty much free hands and gave the recording quite a rough touch even though it sounds much more modern than our earlier albums." Songtitles set to appear on the nine-track CD include "Corroding Armour", "Among the Forlorn" and "In These Veins". The album will also contain an old Swedish classic song from one of HEARSE's "old faves."
Formed by longtime friends Thornell and Liiva, HEARSE recorded a demo before signing with Hammerheart Records. The band released a limited-edition 7-inch single, entitled "Torch", prior to issuing their debut album, "Dominion Reptillian", in 2003. A follow-up effort, "Armageddon Mon Amour", came out in 2004. The group's third CD, "The Last Ordeal", came out in August 2005 through Holland's Karmageddon Media.
